Children and their families matter greatly to us at Mayfair-Plymouth Church. Our children's ministry, Kingdom Kids, exists to partner with families to help kids come to Christ and equip them for a lifelong journey with God. We're privileged to have the opportunity to care for, teach, and encourage the children in the nursery through 6th grade at Mayfair-Plymouth.
We are expanding God's Kingdom one child at a time!
Our Purpose: To partner with families in the spiritual development of children. We seek to create a passion to love and follow Jesus. We'll do this by teaching for life change and by modeling biblical behavior. We'll encourage, train, and support families and teachers of our children.
How do we accomplish our purpose?
Sunday School: Children ages four through 6th grade meet every Sunday morning from 9:40 to 10:30am to learn about Jesus -and His impact on our lives- through Bible stories, music, games, art, videos, and activities that they can apply to their daily lives. It's our desire to create a loving and caring environment full of fun where children can develop a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and a lasting sense of genuine community, support and friendship with their peers. They'll discover the Bible in ways that are age-appropriate and exciting.
Family Night: Every Wednesday evening from September through May, children four years through 6th grade gather from 6:30 to 7:30 for less-structured, interactive activities. The night begins with a welcome and light snacks before introducing our group, team-building game or activity for the evening to help bring all the kids together. Then the kids break out into individual small groups for their focused activities designed to spiritually impact their lives and encourage them to build friendships with each other and with the God who created them. There is always a staffed nursery available for children four and under to play and to discover what it means to be part of the family of God. Our Wednesday Family Night activities are always open to the community, and we love making new friends each week!
Hands in Motion- Hands in Motion is our interpretive dance group, available for elementary-aged girls in first through sixth grade. The group practices weekly and performs a different song once a month in front of the entire church during our Sunday morning worship services. To learn more about this group and how to join, please contact Becca Woodward at email@example.com.
Kingdom Kids Arts & Crafts- Every week, we offer hands-on arts and crafts classes for children ages 4-6th grade. Activities vary each week, and may involve cooking and baking, painting, community outreach projects, painting, and various other art mediums.

Vacation Bible School: This high-energy, week-long event happens each summer with an emphasis on helping children grow closer to God. Music, games, crafts, snacks, and, of course, Bible stories are all part of the evening activities. A large staff of volunteers spend their week teaching children how God created each one of them in a unique way and encouraging them to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Check out the Events page for upcoming VBS dates.
Nursery and Cry Room: Our nursery is a safe, fun place where pre-school children and infants are cared for during the Sunday worship service and during special worship services throughout the year. A staffed nursery is also available on Family Night while parents and guardians attend classes and other activities. The Cry Room is a room near the sanctuary where parents and guardians can care for their infant's needs in a comfortable and private setting. This room is available for mothers of nursing infants.
KidCheck: At Mayfair-Plymouth Church, nothing is more important to us than the safety and security of your children. That’s why we’ve chosen KidCheck as our nursery check-in solution to bring you the best check-in experience and to allow us to partner with you to keep your children safe.
